O2 Femto NOC Support.

For the last 4 years Magdalene has been supporting O2’s Femtocell service providing both core network operations, customer cell provisioning and customer helpdesk services. This supported O2 at a key service launch time whilst the project was in start-up mode. Once O2 operations were fully established then the service was transitioned across to them for business as usual services. This managed transition included process re-orientation, training, service shadowing and operational readiness testing.

Femtocell technology is used to eliminate coverage black spots for both corporate and residential users. It is a cost effective method that utilises the users own broadband connection as backhaul to ensure that they have coverage. A Femtocell is no larger than a typical wifi router and is restricted to just the account holders own mobile numbers.
