Magdalene makes first product sales of DNWP ‘Connection Master’ telecommunications infrastructure equipment to SSE Telecoms.
Magdalene has supplied solutions and services to SSE Telecoms for many years in order to support its telecommunications infrastructure requirements. This has included the ‘Dynanet’ range of multiplexer transmission products from Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) which have been available for in excess of 20 years, but will be discontinued this year. Magdalene is therefore pleased to announce the first sale of the successor ‘Connection Master’ products from DNWP (Dedicated Network Partners) to SSE Telecoms.
Since the beginning of this year, Magdalene has established a sales partnership with DNWP, a new organisation which has taken over NSN’s transmission equipment business. This new independent organisation inherited the people, facilities and entire design and production rights to the successor’s product range. ‘Connection Master’ offers backwards-compatible functionality, offering the latest developments and capabilities in multi-service access technology whilst retaining the same philosophy of reliability for the long-term.
Magdalene is best placed to provide customers such as SSE Telecoms assistance with design, implementation and support services for the migration of old transmission equipment to the new product range. This range offers improvements for combining traditional PDH and SDH TDM technologies and Ethernet IP networking.
Keith Lamport, Magdalene Sales Director, says: “These first sales of the ‘Connection Master’ products demonstrate the quality and effectiveness of the DNWP solutions. As a services company, Magdalene is able to provide expertise in consultancy, design, sourcing, implementation and maintenance to ensure complete support for SSE Telecom’ requirements. Magdalene’s core competencies are complemented by high calibre facilities such as a purpose-built Marshalling and Integration Centre (MIC) and operator-class 24/7/365 Network Operations Centre (NOC).”
