Magdalene Launches Its Marshalling and Integration Centre.

Magdalene is delighted to announce that it has expanded its in-house service delivery capability with the launch of its recently acquired Marshalling and Integration Centre.

Magdalene’s Customers can now benefit from an extended scope of service delivery with all the logistics components of project implementation being handled in house. It has extended Magdalene’s Project Management Office procedures and tools to cover all the activities undertaken in the Marshalling and Integration Centre.

This investment enables Magdalene to provide Managed Stores, Pick, Pack and Dispatch under fully controlled conditions and in accordance with Customers’ specific inventory management practices. Full security, environmental and equipment handling standards are adhered to with complete traceablility of all items assured.

Additionally, comprehensive pre-staging to verify system performance prior to deployment will be conducted in the facility. A dedicated, fully equipped system build facility built to the highest standards enables both our Customers’ and Magdalene’s own engineers to conduct complete build and test procedures. Magdalene is also able to provide ongoing support for in service equipments through reverse logistics, reconditioning, upgrading and redeployment services.

The Marshalling and Integration Centre itself is a brand new unit of some 8,000 square feet. It has had a custom fit out to ensure all the best current practices can be accommodated with Magdalene’s existing SAP business support system being extended to control all transactions. Full DC and AC and inter-rack connectivity are accommodated in the system build area, along with separate office accommodation for Customers and staff working in the facility.

Magdalene’s Marshalling and Integration Centre is located less than a mile away from its main offices in St Ives, Cambridgeshire and has excellent road connections throughout UK from its central location.
