Magdalene runs projects which cover a broad range of scales from simple site level deployments right up to large multi technology systems of several thousands of sites. We have in house capabilities to run projects across all major technologies in telecommunications, embracing core, access, backhaul and management systems in both fixed and mobile networks.

Our typical projects include all phases of activity: from needs capture, through system design, network planning, procurement, logistics, installation, commissioning, integration and acceptance. We carefully ensure that quality is maintained throughout by using our own internal procedural and site based auditing programmes.

We enable the control of projects through the use of specific IT tools which play a prominent role in aspects such as geographic task and schedule control, logistics and activity planning and follow up.

Where we are partnering with a Customer on a long term roll out type project we can adopt their processes and tools and are also ready to integrate them into our own systems.

We always challenge existing project methodologies to find new ways of working which save time and money and increase accuracy. An example of this is the use of our Remote Integration Facility from which we have integrated, upgraded or reconfigured many thousands of network elements.

For certain projects we de-risk the field based engineering works by performing pre-staging in our own Marshalling and Integration Centre. Here the same engineers that will conduct field implementation build and test the system prior to deployment. Our engineering teams are multi skilled and have the competences to perform all the engineering tasks on given technologies.

Magdalene’s Implementation Service is centred on our Project Management Office (PMO). The project managers in our PMO all have extensive experience in implementation projects within telecommunications and this is complemented by a personal competence development plan which results in formal qualifications. Our projects are subject to control through a series of policies and procedures which are monitored through our full time quality function.
